My husband and I thoroughly enjoy the cuisine from Gunes in Willesden Green. The food is consistently fresh and incredibly delicious. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and both the chef and staff are very polite and helpful. We typically order a Doner kebab box for two, and the portions are so generous that three people could easily share it. This dish includes your choice of lamb or chicken doner meat, hummus, tzatziki, salad, bread, salsas, and either white or red rice. Additionally, I highly recommend their rice pudding; it has an amazing taste that reminds me of childhood. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

We came here for a party of 13, but also picked up food to go on multiple occasions. The food is phenomenal. The portions are very big and everything is fresh and tasty. The staff is very friendly and polite. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting.

We ordered the platter for four at Güneş Restaurant and it turned out to be the highlight of our visit. From the moment it arrived at the table, you could tell this was going to be something special. The platter was beautifully presented and absolutely loaded with a variety of grilled meats — juicy chicken shish, tender lamb, flavourful adana kebab, slices of doner, and more — all cooked over charcoal and seasoned perfectly. Every bite had that authentic smoky taste you expect from proper Turkish grilling. What really stood out was the quality and freshness of everything on the plate. The meats were soft, well-marinated, and not dry at all, which can sometimes happen with mixed grills. Alongside the meats, the platter came with warm bread, rice, salad, and dips that balanced the richness perfectly. It felt like a complete meal rather than just a selection of meats. There was more than enough food for four people, and we still had some left at the end — the portion size was genuinely generous. The atmosphere in the restaurant made the experience even better. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. You could feel the welcoming, family-style vibe that Güneş is known for. It’s the kind of place where you can sit comfortably, enjoy your food, and take your time. Overall, the platter for four was excellent value for money and a great way to experience a wide range of dishes in one go. If you’re visiting Güneş for the first time or going with a group, this platter is definitely the best thing to order. It was delicious, satisfying, and a perfect example of authentic Turkish hospitality and flavour.

Excellent lunch! Had coffee here before but this was our first lunch and it was excellent. Great prices but more importantly, delicious. My kid loved the flames leaping from the grill as they cook (and also the Lotus pancakes!) Decor is whimsical and fun. Plenty of space. Kid friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing food ordered one thing got many extras. Salad was nice and big also. Definitely would recommend this joint.
